Our Team

The South End Family Dentistry team is loyal and dedicated. They go above and beyond to exceed the expectations of the patients. They are a skilled and versatile group of professionals who take pride in patient comfort and work hard to ensure their patients have a positive experience. ​

Dr. Sarah Foley

Dr. Sarah Foley was born and raised in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. She completed her Undergraduate Science degree at St. Francis Xavier University before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie’s Faculty of Dentistry. While at Dalhousie, she received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Promise in the Field of Pediatric Dentistry and, upon graduation, received the Dr. D. E. Williams Prize for greatest proficiency in Clinical Pediatric Dentistry.  

Dr. Foley cares about providing high quality and honest comprehensive dentistry. She takes pride in forming long-lasting, trusting relationships with her patients and especially enjoys treating patients of all ages. She is a member of the Nova Scotia and Canadian Dental Associations as well as the Halifax County Dental Society.

When she is not working in her busy clinic, Dr. Foley enjoys playing and watching hockey and spending time with her husband and children.

Dr. Taylor Shupe

Dr. Taylor Shupe grew up in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia and wanted to be a dentist from the age of 6. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Mary’s University Bachelor of Science program before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie’s Faculty of Dentistry. While at Dalhousie, she received the United Dental Laboratory Prize for Greatest Proficiency in Clinical Removable Prosthodontics.

Dr. Shupe has a true passion for dentistry and a calming chair side manner, striving to make all her appointments a comfortable experience.

She believes in the importance of continuing education and utilizing the latest advances in technology to provide optimal dental care to her patients. She is a member of the Nova Scotia and Canadian Dental Associations as well as the Halifax County Dental Society.

Outside of dentistry Dr. Shupe loves hiking throughout Nova Scotia. She is active, playing in local women’s hockey leagues both on and off the ice. She enjoys baking, reading a good book and spending time with her family and friends.
